Greater Blessing of Kings is a group buff that distributes Blessing of Kings, increasing affected character's stats by 10% for 30 minutes. Players may only have one Blessing on them per Paladin at any one time. It will buff multiple party or raid members of level 52 or higher at once.

Notes
Greater blessings follow these rules when cast:
- The spell target must be friendly, in line of sight, and in range of the caster.
- If the target is flagged PvP, the caster becomes flagged.
- The target gains the buff.
- Group buff splash - With some exceptions†, all characters in the target's party or raid that share his class and are within 100 yards of him also gain the buff. This effect is not limited by line of sight. As a result, the caster can buff people at triple the spell range.
† Characters will be excluded from the group buff splash if they are lower than the spell's trained level, or are flagged PvP when the caster is not.
Exclusion by PvP status disrupts raid preparation; typically, the raid will wait for flags to expire, or order the buffing classes to become flagged themselves.
Greater Blessing of Kings only applies while you are in the group with the paladin who cast it. If you leave the party or raid, this blessing will be removed. The 10% Stamina from [Blessing of Sanctuary] does not stack, and [Drums of Forgotten Kings] does not stack at all.
Stacking
Other stat multiplier buffs do not stack: [Blessing of Sanctuary] (only the 10% increased Stamina), [Greater Blessing of Sanctuary], and [Drums of Forgotten Kings] .
Flat increases of stats do stack, such as [Power Word: Fortitude], [Arcane Brilliance], and [Gift of the Wild].
Cataclysm
[Blessing of Kings] and Greater Blessing of Kings will no longer boost Spirit with Cataclysm.[1]
Patch changes
- Patch 3.3.0 (08-Dec-2009): It is no longer possible to have multiple buff icons from this spell.
- Patch 3.3.0 (08-Dec-2009): The buff will be stored in a Consolidation Box when recieved. It will come out when 3 min. is left.
- Patch 3.1.0 (14-Apr-2009): [Blessing of Kings] is now trainable at level 20. Removed from talent trees.
[Improved Blessing of Kings] has been removed because it was merged with [Blessing of Kings].
- / Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): [Blessing of Kings] is now a 5 point talent, and has been relocated to the first tier of the Protection tree.
Previously only 1 point in the third tier of the Protection tree. Now it's two talents, [Blessing of Kings] and and [Improved Blessing of Kings], each point giving 2% increased stats for a total of 10% if all 5 points are taken. There is a known bug where the tooltip shows 2% no matter how many talent points are spent.
- Patch 2.2.0 (25-Sep-2007): Duration increased to 30 minutes.
Old, 15 minutes.
- Patch 2.1.0 (22-May-2007): The cost for this blessing is now twice the cost of [Blessing of Kings], instead of a fixed cost of 150.
- Patch 1.9.0 (03-Jan-2006): Paladins can now learn the Greater Blessings for the following spells: [Blessing of Might], [Blessing of Wisdom], [Blessing of Kings], [Blessing of Sanctuary], and [Blessing of Salvation]. Greater Blessings will cast the associated blessing on all raid members that share the same class as the target. For example, if you cast [Greater Blessing of Might] on a warrior in your raid, all warriors in the raid party will receive Blessing of Might from you. Additionally, Greater Blessings have an increased duration of 15 minutes. These blessings require twice as much mana as the single target version, as well as a reagent. Paladins can purchase these new Greater Blessing spells from their class trainers.
Previously, only [Blessing of Kings] was available, and it lasted for 5 minutes.
